Research

My research is in Algebraic Geometry on construction, classification and explicit geometry of threefold  fibrations in surfaces over rational curves.  I also think about finiteness problems on fibered Calabi-Yau threefolds.

I have gained interest  in the Machine Learning toolbox both independently as well as in its use in geometric classification.

During my stint as the Oxford Mathematical Institute's Inaugural EDI fellow, I founded an MPLS Divisional funded project in 2020 which has grown into a successful annual Africa Research Development Project:  "Oxford Mathematical Institute's Online Research Projects with Africa" [MIORPA].
